African football’s ruling body, Confederation of African Football, has fired a senior official after he made corruption accusations against the organisation’s President, Ahmad Ahmad.

The Confederation of African Football has dismissed Egyptian Amr Fahmy from his role as General Secretary, BBC Sport Africa understands.
The Chairman of Enyimba FC, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, has vehemently denied a claim by CAF Confederation Cup semifinals opponents Raja Casablanca of Morocco that the Nigerian flagbearers failed to received its delegation at the Port Harcourt International Airport on arrival on Monday morning.

CAF said on its website on Tuesday that Sundays had also been reserved for the Total CAF Confederation Cup and Wednesday for the mid-week games.
To this end, a two-day intensive workshop on how best to improve the fortunes of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup will hold at the African football ruling body’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Monday and Tuesday this week.
The 34-year-old Egyptian replaces Hicham El Amrani of Morocco, who resigned just weeks after long-standing president, Issa Hayatou of Cameroon, was ousted in a surprise election defeat to Ahmad of Madagascar in March.
