The 1st Vice President of the Confederation of African Football, who is also the President of AFCON Organizing Committee, Nigeria’s Amaju Melvin Pinnick, has assured that the continental football ruling body is doing everything within its power to ensure that the 32nd Africa Cup finals holding in Egypt this summer is a huge success.

A five-goal haul by the China-based striker over three days, against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in the month of October, propelled the Super Eagles to top place in Group E of the qualification series, with the score draw away to South Africa in November eventually sealing a place at the finals.                                 

The President of the NFF, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, made the pledge when he met with the players and officials at the AH Hotel, Accra on Thursday, as he delivered the good wishes of President Muhammadu Buhari and the football-loving populace of Nigeria to the Cup holders.

At a meeting with chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation at its Europe headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the sportswear behemoth also used the opportunity to announce that the much-anticipated release of the jerseys into the global market would happen on May 29 at unit cost of $85.

The region also passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, from its President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, on its several brilliant programmes, including that of preparation of the Super Eagles for this year’s FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.
