Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile and other aides, during the visit reassured journalists, especially members of the Lagos State Governor’s Office Correspondents (LAGOCO) that their safety and welfare are paramount to him.

The first set of evacuees, comprising 64 UNIJOS students and the three-week-old-baby named Daniella, who was reported to have been born shortly before the crisis in Plateau State by Manya Banfe, a 200-level student, arrived Lagos on Friday afternoon and met with Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, before being released to their families.

The State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Samuel Egube, disclosed this during the ongoing annual ministerial press briefing at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa to commemorate the second year of Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration in the State.
