The AGF made this disclosure during his welcome address at the opening of a two-day retreat on the one year of the TSA implementation, the benefits, challenges and way forward, being organised by his office at the International Conference Centre, Abuja from February 14 to 15, 2017

Idris said that the committee would convene a public hearing on the matter on Dec. 7, where the stakeholders were expected to provide necessary information
He added that the committee was interested in not only knowing but having submissions on performances of the agencies because the 2017 Budget would be presented soon
According to the figures released by Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, the gross statutory revenue, including solid minerals, is N275.102, while the net allocation is N258.151billion
The allocation was shared among the three tiers of government as follows: Federal Government 52.68%, States 26.72%, Local government 20.60% and 13% derivation of Mineral Revenue for oil producing states
“By the time we begin to see the benefits of some of these loans that the government has taken, of course projects and programmes as promised will begin to roll out
A communiqué issued by the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee and signed by the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, indicated that the Gross Revenue of N270.499 billion received for the month of February is lower than the N290.961 billion received the previous month by N20.462 billion
Represented by the Director of IPPIS, Ibrahim Yusuf, the AGF said the training was organised to build the capacity of the role players in various MDAs on IPPIS application
Idris made this appeal while receiving members of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts
“We want to upgrade the infrastructure that we have over the weekend so that by Monday next week all payments will go on smoothly.
“If you look at the trend, people find it difficult to have access easily because the infrastructure was not strong enough to effectively handle the queue management
He said: “We are being proactive and we will do whatever it takes to maintain the technology and make sure that this kind of thing does not happen again
Idris also said: “The TSA is not meant to hamper the activities of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, but to entrench transparent, efficient and robust management of public funds that will ensure speedy realisation of government plans and programmes
