Unanimously, the shareholders approved N272.6 billion as dividend, translating to N16 per share for the year ended December 31, 2020. The 16 per cent increase in the company’s revenue led to a 36 per cent increase in its earnings per share of N16.14 as against N11.29 in 2019.
The minister made this known while delivering a speech virtually at the opening ceremony of the 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) held in Bauchi State.
The event billed to hold on Saturday, April 3, this year, according to the Chairman, Organising committee, Patrick Idahosa, will also double as the association’s second reunion outing.
According to a statement from the set’s President, Sunday Amoo, the event holds at the prestigious Development Support Centre located close to the NUJ Press Center, Iyaganku GRA in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The AGM/Congress, which was scheduled to hold in July in Asaba, Delta State, was rescheduled due to circumstances beyond the Association’s control.
This was made known in a statement signed by Jenkins Alumona, Publicity Secretary of the Association.

The insurance was also mandated to reconvene the AGM, with proper notice given to shareholders and in line with extant laws.
This was after the NSE received a complaint by Bernateva Partners – the solicitor to Eaton Acquisitions Limited, a major shareholder in NEM Insurance Plc – to reverse the decisions reached at the Annual General Meeting held in Ibadan, Oyo State in June 2018.
The AGM, which will hold at Hamdala Hotel, Kaduna, shall be preceded by a Public/Memorial Lecture in honour of one of the founding fathers of the Chapter, late Consultant Aliyu, who passed on last year.
