President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with a delegation of political and traditional leaders from Kano State, led by the State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Obasanjo, who was believed to be engaged in a face-off with Buhari before the AU Summit with the open letter he sent to the President, offered the explanation in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, after he registered as a member of the Coalition for Nigeria Movement
The leaders, who met at an African Union summit in the Ethiopian capital, were initially set to demand an apology from Trump over the remark reported by sources at a meeting on immigration with him this month.
The meeting, at the venue of the African Union Summit, provided Buhari and Obasanjo the opportunity to crack jokes and exchange banters
Buhari said this while formally launching the African Anti-Corruption Year 2018 during the Opening Ceremony of the 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in the Ethiopian capital
The exchange of banters comes a few days after the two ex-military rulers engaged in a face-off
The UN Secretary-General António Guterres said after signing the agreement that strong cooperation with the AU was essential for the UN to be able to fulfill its mandate
Guterres also lauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s generosity in releasing Mohammed to serve in the global capacity, according to his remarks to the AU Summit obtained by correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria
