The Lagos state chapter of the Action Democratic Party has called on the three Senators representing Lagos State at the National Assembly not to allow themselves to be used as sabotage against the interest of Lagosians over their move to block the Asset Management Corporation chairmanship slot for Lagos.

The Action Democratic Party, ADP, has declared its preparedness to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress from its firm hold of the South West region and many other states across the country, pointing out that the series of defection from the APC leaves the ruling party at a disadvantage.
The Action Democratic Party has disassociated itself from the recently formed Coalition of United Political Party, led by the Peoples Democratic Party, saying it is an old wine in a new bottle.
The Campaign Manager for the ADP candidate, Tokunbo Ajayi, said this while leading party members and loyalists on a house-to-house campaign in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.
The adoption and announcement of the party was made in Abuja by the coalition which has leaders, including Dr. Olisa Agbakoba and Dr. Abduljalil Tafawa Balewa, as members of the National Executive Council.
He stated this while appraising democracy since its inception in Nigeria in 1999 and the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government three years in office in an interview with newsmen on Monday in Abuja.
Adewale told the News Agency of Nigeria in Ado-Ekiti that he would focus on offsetting all outstanding salaries of workers and pension arrears within six months if elected.
Oluwayose, who shares the same father with the governor, formally announced his defection in his hometown, Afao-Ekiti, Irepodun-Ifelodun Local Government Area, as ADB’s governorship aspirant, Segun Adewale, visited the community.
Adewale, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, philanthropist and a grassroots politician, has expressed confidence that his government, when voted into power, will not fail the people.
The party said it is making this call due to the controversies that the company have been enmeshed in.
The statement said: “Nigerians must use this period to reflect on our common goals and shared destiny. We urge all citizens to imbibe the spirit of peace, unity and love for one another; virtues that Jesus Christ exhibited throughout his stay on earth. It is with these virtues and more that we can move our country forward.
“The press release made by the State Chairman/Gubernatorial candidate of the party in which he dissolved a committee set up to look into the ADC post election issues and suspended members is rejected by the National Working Committee as they remain bonafide members of the party,” the letter reads in part
