The party wondered why the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Mbu Joseph Mbu, who provided cover for the five renegade lawmakers to attack the House while failing to provide security for
the House to sit, and the leader of the renegade lawmakers, Evans Bipi, who allegedly started the crisis in the House by punching Lloyd and the Speaker of the House on the face, were not invited along with the others

In a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party however thanked Nigerians for rejecting the attempt, going by their reactions on the social media where the latest campaign is being waged by those who are hell bent on perpetuating mediocre leadership in Nigeria

“Though the Federal Government quickly denied the economy was in danger, it is now clear that it (government) was being economical with the truth. The clearest indication yet of this choreographed deceit are the contradictory statements credited to the Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in recent times

The party said: “Against the background of insinuations in government circles, let us be clear that we do not condone the activities of these sects that have killed and maimed innocent Nigerians and turned a section of the country into a battle field. Terrorism in all its ramifications is condemnable, and no responsible government will allow any group, no matter its name, grievances or ideology, to carry out terrorist acts unchecked
