The Nigeria Football Federation has approved two more Grade A friendlies for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

The race to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end this weekend, with the battle for qualification slots in the 12 groups getting to an interesting climax.

The continental football governing body said its Executive Committee, at its meeting on Friday in Accra, took the decision after reviewing the case of Sierra Leone in the qualifiers.

The North Africans are now with seven points from five matches and lie third in the group behind leaders Nigeria who have 10 points and South Africa who have nine points.
They also have a friendly encounter against the Cranes of Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba three days later.
Nduka Ugbade, Assistant Coach of the Golden Eaglets, on Wednesday said the players had embarked on some days rest after qualifying for the 2019 AFCON in Tanzania.
The Confederation of African Football has put the seal of approval on Cameroon’s 2019 Afcon hosting rights, saying the tournament would not be taken away from the central African country.
