Wike said during the signing ceremony in Port Harcourt, that effective implementation of the budget would engender greater development of the state.
The passage followed the adoption of the report and recommendations of the House Adhoc Committee on Budget and Economic Planning, headed by Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu.
Wike said aggregate revenue receipts as at December 31, 2017 stood at N 278.2 billion, representing only 69 per cent of total projected revenue.
Leading the debate, the House Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, appealed to his colleagues not to lose sight of ideas behind the bill, which seeks to consolidate on gains already attained by government, even as critical observations were raised.
Dogara said this in Abuja while delivering a vote of thanks at the presentation of 2018 Budget proposals, estimated at N8.61 trillion to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to him, based on the total federally-collectible revenue estimated at N11.983 trillion in 2018, the three tiers of government shall receive 12 per cent more revenues than the 2017 estimates.
