Swansea City has joined the race to sign Nigerian-born British youngster Tammy Abraham.
Newcastle United, Brighton and Vitesse Arnhem are also in contention to land the player.
The former Bristol City loan star, who netted 26 goals last season for Lee Johnson’s side, looked to be joining the Magpies last week before heading off on international duty and then admitting he was unsure of what the future held.
The teenager will likely line up for England under-21s today in their first European Championship group game again Sweden.
Over the past few months, the 19-year-old has also been linked with the likes of Leicester City, Everton, Galatsaray and Fenerbache.
He recently spoke about his future and said: “I haven’t spoken with Chelsea yet. I am focusing on this tournament, so the discussions will happen after. I’m not too sure (about where he will be playing next season) – hopefully it will be in the Premier League.
“After this season I need to take myself to the next level. That’s the type of person I am – I always want to do better, I always want to do more. So going into the new season, my aim will be to top this one.”
Tammy Abraham of Bristol City thanks the fans at the conclusion of a hugely successful season long loan from Chelsea.
