English Premier League side, Swansea City, has joined the list of the European clubs craving for the services of Nigeria’s forward, Osaze Odemwingie.
Already on the card for the Nigerian international are Premiership new entrants, Hull City and Crystal Palace, with Swansea now entering the fray for the former Lille of France goal poacher.
Michael Laudrup wants to strengthen his forward line ahead of next season, not least as the Capital One Cup holders will be involved in the UEFA Europa League.
But Swansea are a more intriguing option given Laudrup’s ambitions and their European participation.
Osaze’s close associates have however advised that moves to the newly-promoted clubs might not necessarily appeal to him, with the player expected to hold-out for more established top-flight sides.
Osaze has just 12 months left on his current Albion deal, which could drive his price down.
‘The Baggies’, while keen to get as much as they could for the striker, are also mindful that his future needs to be resolved swiftly, preferably before players and staff report back for pre-season training.
The striker, who turns 32 next month, is expected to leave Albion this summer following his well-publicised bust-up with the club.
