Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Monday killed two officers of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Awanger village, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
The victims have been identified as Ada Patrick and Adam Godwin.
They were reportedly ambushed and shot dead at 2:25pm on Monday.
The spokesman of the Benue State Command of the NSCDC, Peter Adakole, could not confirm the development.
Adakole, however, said the Command had already drafted more of its operatives to the area to ascertain the veracity of the report.
