The delegation of Beach Soccer National Team, also known as Supersand Eagles, returns to Nigeria aboard a South African Airways flight landing in Lagos on Monday evening.
After pounding Ghana 5-2 in their first match at the Power Horse Invitational Tournament in Durban on Friday, the boys lost 5-6 to Senegal on Saturday, but picked up morale to whip hosts South Africa 9-3 on Sunday to claim third place.
The Nigeria Football Federation 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, and General Secretary, Musa Amadu, returned with the players and officials as the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup quarter finalists prepare for an African Beach Soccer Championship qualifying fixture against Libya.
The first leg comes up at Elegusi Beach, Lagos on Saturday, with the return taking place in Tripoli, Libya on Friday next week.
