As the countdown to the Nations Cup championship draws near, the Camp Commandant of the national team, the Super Eagles, Lieutenant Colonel Rabiu Yandoto, has yet to resume with the team.
Officials of the Super Eagles have said they are in touch with Yandoto as he awaits clearance from authorities of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Team Secretary, Dayo Enebi Achor, said he has been in constant touch with the Spartan army officer and he has assured the team that once he gets his clearance from the Chief of Army Staff, he would immediately join the team for the Nations Cup tournament.
The commandant is usually in charge of maintaining camp discipline and order, especially among the players, and keeps a close eye on the activities of the players for maximum output at major tournaments.
“We are expecting Colonel Yandoto any moment from now and the Head Coach and the NFF leadership are aware of the situation”, Achor said.
