Nigeria Professional Football League club, Sunshine Stars, has named Samson Unuanel as their head coach.
Unuanel replaces Kennedy Boboye, who resigned at the end of the season after Sunshine Stars missed the chance to qualify for the Caf Confederation Cup.
Sunshine Stars spokesman, Wahab Bankole, disclosed that the new coach is expected to arrive in Akure on Thursday to sign the contract.
However the terms of the contract between Sunshine Stars and Unuanel remains undisclosed.
“Samson Unuanel is the new coach of Sunshine Stars. Barring any hitch he will be in Akure on Thursday to finalise the paperwork of the contract,” Bankole told supersport.com on Wednesday.
Unuanel has previously worked at Kwara United and Ocean Boys and is now saddled with steering the Akure club for the 2015/16 NPFL season, which is expected to start next year.
