Sinisa Mihajlovic has officially been appointed as the new Coach of Portuguese club Sporting Club de Portugal.
The decision was announced this evening after he flew in to sign the three-year contract.
It was revealed last night that the Serbian was close to the Portuguese side, who are in crisis after a tumultuous end to the season.
Players were physically assaulted by a group of fans after failing to qualify for the Champions League, and a number of them have rescinded their contracts as a result.
As for Mihajlovic, the 49-year-old had a brief spell as Coach of the Serbia team, but otherwise spent his entire management career in Serie A with Bologna, Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Milan and Torino.
He has been out of work since Toro fired him on January 8.
