The Sokoto State House of Assembly on Thursday passed into law the 2014 Appropriation Bill of N125.9 billion presented by Governor Aliyu Wamakko.
The approval followed a motion moved by the Deputy House Leader, Alhaji Bello Goronyo (APC-Goronyo).
Goronyo said: “This is based on the report submitted to the House on January 7, by the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation on the 2014 Appropriation Bill.”
The Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Abdussamad Dasuki, in the report, said that no addition or subtraction was made to the budget.
“The figures remained as submitted to the House of Assembly by the Sokoto State Government,” Dasuki said.
Wamakko presented the 2014 Budget to members of the assembly on November 29.
The Speaker of the assembly, Alhaji Lawalli Zayyana, commended the member for the speedy passage of the bill into law.
