The Chairman of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Mohammed Yusuf OC, on Tuesday confirmed the killing of three Boko Haram insurgents while running away from an earlier attack of Pallam village of the area.
According to the Chairman, the insurgents stormed the village and burned down houses, and shops of recently returned internally displaced persons.
They killed three persons in the process.
Yusuf appreciated the Federal and Adamawa State Governments, appealing to them also to never relegate the issues of security to unpatriotic Nigerians but entrust it to the hands of trusted security officers for total clamp down on the insurgents.
He also appreciated the bravery of the local hunters and the villagers for not giving in to fear but chased the insurgents into the mountains.
He called for collaborative efforts among the security agencies, vigilante and hunters situated in the area to step up on fighting the Boko Haram terrorists till victory is achieved.
