The Senate has asked the Niger Delta Development Commission to take the request for N6.4 billion for unverified Projects to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Niger Delta Development Commission had on Tuesday accused some federal lawmakers of demanding payment of N6.4 billion from it for unverifiable projects.
But Senate spokesman, Ajibola Basiru, challenged the Commission to take the matter to the anti-graft agency if it is true.
Ajibola on his verified Twitter handle said: “Why has this not been taken before anti corruption agencies, if true?”
Both the Senate and House of Representatives are currently investigating the Interim Management of the NDDC.
