The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has celebrated the declaration of Sani Musa as the representative of the people of Niger East Senatorial District by the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had on Friday removed Senator David Umar as the representative of Niger East Senatorial District, declaring Musa as the duly elected candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the National Assembly election in 2019.
Writing on his Twitter handle, Lawan said on Saturday: “Yesterday, I joined Senator Mohammed Sani Musa in celebrating his Supreme Court victory as the rightful winner of the primary election APC conducted for Niger East Senatorial District.
“Joined in the celebration are the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, other colleagues and friends of the Senator.
“Senator Sani Musa will be sworn-in upon the resumption of plenary of the Senate.”
