The Senate on Wednesday cleared the boss of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Osita Chidoka, for appointment as a minister.
Chidoka’s name was sent last week by President Goodluck Jonathan to the Senate for screening.
Also cleared as suitable as a minister on Wednesday by the Senate was university don, Sulaiman Abukakar.
While responding to questions, Chidoka said that most Nigerian airports are run at a loss.
He said only the airports in Abuja and Lagos can run profitably.
Osita stressed the need for the Federal Government to partner with the private sector for the construction of roads in the country.
