The search for a middle-aged man who jumped off Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos state into the lagoon on Saturday has been called off.
This was revealed by the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday.
According to the RRS on its Twitter handle: “Search and rescue teams have called off the search for a man who alighted from a cab on 3MB under the guise of trying to pee but dived into the Lagoon at around 11:00 a.m today. All emergency agencies have been on ground with assistance from local divers. #TheGoodGuys.”
According to available information, the man was riding in a cab when he alighted and jumped into the lagoon.
The Spokesperson of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the development.
Okunbor said personnel of the Agency were sent to the scene.
