The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Chief Olu Falae, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of this Eid el-Kabir.
Falae, in a statement issued by the party National Publicity Secretary, Alfa Mohammed on Tuesday in Abuja, expressed gratitude to God for sparing the lives of the faithful to celebrate another Eid Kabir.
He also wished the Hajj pilgrims “happy Arafat and safe return to the country”.
Falae called on the pilgrims to pray for peaceful electioneering activities in Nigeria during the 2019 general elections.
He said: “We advise the political class, especially those seeking elective offices in the forthcoming general elections to fear God in their quest and eschew fraudulent and undemocratic means of seeking offices.”
He also warned against imposition, saying that those who might want to impose themselves on the people through election rigging could never provide credible leadership.
He added: “On behalf of the entire SDP family, Barka de Sallah to everyone.”
