No fewer than 32 persons died on Thursday when explosions rang through Jos in Plateau State and Biu in Borno State.
Two explosions in Jos, opposite the University of Jos, Plateau State, left no fewer than 17 persons dead.
In Biu, 15 persons died from the impact of the detonation of an explosive in the city’s bus terminal.
Two explosives, on Bauchi Road in Jos, went off shortly after students of the University of Jos finished their examinations for the day.
The first one was at the Pharmacy Gate, while the other was close to the Bauchi Park, which is about 100 metres from the main gate of the University.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosions as at press time.
It is however believed that the dreaded sect, Boko Haram, may have carried out the attacks.
President Goodluck Jonathan paid a surprise visit to Mubi in Adamawa State on Thursday morning.
The visit to the recently recaptured towns also took him to Baga in Borno State.
The Biu explosion occurred few hours after the President left the state for Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
