After shutting down plenary session for two weeks, the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has travelled to United Arab Emirates to meet with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Saraki is the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council.
He had on Wednesday announced the adjournment of plenary session for two weeks after coming back from an annual recess that lasted for 10 weeks.
Saraki said the adjournment will enable the lawmakers perform their oversight works.
At the Dubai International Airport, Saraki met with the Director General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation and former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel; and the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secodus.
Daniel, who posted the photograph of the meeting, tweeted: “At the Dubai international airport this morning with Senate President Bukola Saraki and Total Chairman Uche Secondus.”
It is believed that Saraki, Daniel and Secondus are in Dubai to see Abubakar, who left the country on a business trip after his emergence as the presidential candidate of the PDP.
Saraki came third in the party’s presidential primary held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
