The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has called for the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the invasion of the National Assembly by operatives of the Department of State Services on Tuesday.
Saraki made the demand during a World Press Conference he addressed in the foyer of the National Assembly on Wednesday.
He said several government agencies have gone beyond their mandates and should be called to order by the government.
Saraki, who thanked the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for his swift intervention by sacking the erstwhile Director General of the DSS, Alhaji Lawal Daura, said government mist ensure that security agencies are neutral.
He called for an end to the senseless deployment of security agents.
