Sanchez out for three months

Alexis Sanchez could be out for three months if he has surgery on his ankle injury, according to Chile coach Reinaldo Rueda.
Manchester United’s on-loan forward was forced off in Chile’s goalless draw against Colombia on Saturday.
Sanchez was initially diagnosed with “dislocated ankle tendons”, with Chile confirming that the 30-year-old has been sent back to Inter for an MRI scan.
And Rueda admits Sanchez could miss the rest of 2019 if the Serie A club decide that surgery is the best treatment.
“You have to see if the club [Inter] will operate on Alexis or not,” Rueda said on Monday.
“You have to see what diagnosis the club will make because he is decisive for us.
“If he has surgery you will lose him for two to three months, if not, it can be weeks, that depends on the club.
“You always want to have them all here and losing Alexis is a shame, he was cheerful and super motivated.”
