Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has reportedly completed his medical ahead of his proposed move to Manchester United.
United boss Jose Mourinho revealed on Saturday that a deal was “so close” to completion after seeing talks stall during the week due to complications over minor details.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to move in the opposite direction and will complete his own medical within the next 24 hours.
Official confirmation is not likely to come until Monday due to both players being non-EU players who must have their work permits ratified by their new clubs.
However, reports claim that the swap deal is now on the verge of being completed, with Sanchez’s side of the move now all but sewn up after he passed his medical at United’s Carrington training ground.
United are hopeful that Sanchez will be available to make his debut during Friday night’s FA Cup meeting with Yeovil Town.
