The embattled Chairman of Mangu Local Government in Plateau State, Hon. Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has said that the 17 elected council chairmen who were recently removed by Governor Lalong don’t have ill-feelings against the Governor.
Mutfwang said even with the illegal dissolution of the 17 Local government structures in the state, all the Council chairmen have been praying for the Governor to succeed and will never plan evil against him as being insinuated by some APC supporters in the state.
The Council Boss stated this on Sunday during a thanksgiving Service organized in his honour held at COCIN LCC Ampang West Mangu LGC of the state.
He said the word of God has instructed Christians to pray for Leaders in authority as such they will as council chairmen continue pray for Governor Simon Lalong to succeed in his four years tenure as the governor of the state for development and betterment of the state.
According to him, “The word of God has instructed us in his Holy book to pray for those in authority and we will continue to pray for Governor Lalong to succeed as the leader of the state”.
While speaking on the reason for the thanksgiving, the council chairman said he has every reason to give thanks to God for his faithfulness upon his life and that of his family.
The Reverend in charge of the Regional Church Council Ampang west Rev. Ishaku Dikut while reading the Bible from the book of 1st Thessalonians chapter five verse 14-18, charged Christians to give thanks to God in all circumstances that they found themselves.
The clergy who spoke on the Topic “Behold the goodness of the Lord”, challenged all Political leaders to make sure that they didn’t pay back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
“As Christian Leaders i want to charge you not to pay evil with evil, but in all circumstances give thanks to God for his faithfulness”.
