Ebere Amaraizu, a Director in Nigeria Nationwide League One, says the 30-man provisional list of the Super Eagles to the World Cup is “unquestionable’’.
“It is a true reflection of what most Nigerians wanted,’’ Amaraizu told the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Enugu.
The Nigeria Football Federation had on Monday released Coach Gernot Rohr’s 30-man provisional squad for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
Amaraizu, who is NLO’s Director in-charge of the South-East, said that Rohr and his technical team must have taken pains and time to study the list over and over again.
He said: “It is the best we have and we are bringing to the table for now.’’
On the new entrants and players from the Nigeria Professional Football League in the list; Amaraizu said the number of NPFL players showed that the Nigerian leagues had grown.
He said: “I must commend Coach Rohr and his technical team for blending quality NPFL players into the team in the provisional list.
“It clearly shows that the Nigerian leagues are all growing and producing quality players capable of shouldering international responsibility for the country.’’
NAN reports that the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals’ is scheduled to kick off from June 14 to July 15.
