The 2012 Rugby Season tagged the Lagos Rugby Union League is scheduled to kick off in April at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos.
According to the spokesperson of the Organising body, Ntiense Williams, plans are in top gear for the take-off of the flagship programme for the 2012 rugby season with six clubs registered to participate.
Williams said: “The League will witness 30 matches to be played over 10 weeks from April through September with the finals in December. There will be three matches at the same venue each fortnight.
“This year’s Lagos Rugby Union League will also host some guest rugby technocrats from the Rugby Football Union who will be visiting the country to lend their support to the much talked about league.”
According to Williams, other programmes penciled down for the year include the traditional Rakia 10’s Rugby Tournament which will kick off the season next month.
