The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Kwara branch, has called on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak to support in improving the welfare of its members.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin Monday by the state Chairman of RTEAN, Alhaji AbdulRahman Onikijipa, after a courtesy visit.
Onikijipa commended AbdulRazak for being supportive to the union activities ever since his emergence.
“Your excellency, I would like to deliver the appreciation and loyalty messages of the national and state leadership of RTEAN to you.
“We are proud of your achievements since the inception of your administration. Mostly your support in the provision of 25 mini buses to our members to ply various routes in Kwara.
“We seek more of your support and improved welfare of our members as we continue to be law abiding organisation in the state,” said the chairman.
Onikijipa assured the Governor of his organisation’s commitment toward ensuring an improved transport system in the state.
According to the statement, the chairman presented the corporate profile of RTEAN to the governor.
Responding, Governor AbdulRazaq commended RTEAN for their commitment towards improving transportation in the state.
He charged the union to continue to discharge their duty with honesty and determination.
He assured of his administration’s resolve to improve transportation in the state.
