Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly become alarmed at the drop in standards at Manchester United, as the Red Devils continue to go through a difficult period.
Man United have lost four of their last six league games, recording just one win in the process, while they have been comfortably beaten by Liverpool and Manchester City in their last two home domestic fixtures.
The report claimed that the Portugal international is ‘shocked’ at how much things have changed since his first spell between 2003 and 2009, and the 36-year-old is becoming increasingly frustrated amid the team’s poor form.
Ronaldo had Man United’s only shot on target in the Manchester derby on Saturday, with the 20-time English champions spending the majority of the match without the ball.
The Red Devils will be looking to return to winning ways in the league when they make the trip to Watford after the international break.
Similarly, Bruno Fernandes is reportedly leading a player revolt at Manchester United against manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaching staff.
The Daily Mail reports that Fernandes is one of a number of senior players who have become frustrated by a lack of direction from the United boss and his coaches in recent weeks.
He and his teammates have grown tired of the situation at Old Trafford, as the club’s poor form continued with a 2-0 defeat to rivals Manchester City on Saturday.
That result leaves United with just one win from their last six league matches and they sit sixth in the Premier League, five points off the top four.
They are also now nine points behind league leaders Chelsea after 11 matches of the season and they face the Blues at the end of the month.
It is still unclear whether Solskjaer will remain in charge for that match, with a crucial Champions League match against Villarreal beforehand, following the international break.
The Norwegian is coming under mounting pressure at United, added to by Saturday’s loss, having seen his side be hammered 5-0 at home by Liverpool in October.
