The Ogun State-based Nigeria National League side, Remo Stars FC, on Monday announced the transfer of Dauda Shefiu and Marcus Ayomide to CD Feirense of Portugal.
The club’s media Officer, Oladimeji Oshode, who confirmed the transfer of both players on Monday in Lagos, said they were registered with the team before their departure to Europe.
Oshode said: “Both players were registered for the Sky Blue Stars in the ongoing Bet9ja Nigeria National League and have completed their move to the Portuguese side for an undisclosed fee.
“They joined the Sky Blue Stars in 2016 from Kakuri Academy and Goodland Rangers respectively after a Pan-Nigeria Youth tournament hosted by Remo Stars FC in Ijebu Ode, in 2015.
“Shefiu then grew up the ranks of the Youth Development System of the club, featuring in the 2016 Lagos Metro League.
“In 2017, both players featured in the Nigeria Nationwide League One.
“Shefiu made his debut for the senior team on Match Day 31, in the Nigeria Professional Football League against Kano Pillars in Kano, last season.
“Shefiu and Ayomide are the seventh and eighth players to have travelled to Europe from the Youth Development System under the watchful eyes of Director, Daniel Ogunmodede.
“We appreciate their contributions to the club and we equally wish them the best of luck in their future career.’’
