The referee for Tottenham’s Champions League final with Liverpool has been confirmed as Damir Skomina.
Slovenian referee Skomina has been selected to take charge of the all-English game in Madrid at the at Wanda Metropolitano on June 1.
The 42-year-old has plenty of experience of officiating finals involving Premier League clubs, including the 2017 Europa League final between Ajax and Manchester United, as well as the Super Cup encounter between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid in 2012.
Skomina has been in the middle for four Champions League matches this season, including one Liverpool game.
He was in charge as Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Napoli 1-0 to reach the knockout stages.
