Rain wreaks havoc in Lagos, one killed

An early morning rain in some parts of Lagos wreaked havoc on the city, leading to the death of one person on whom a mast fell.
Over 20 buildings were reported to have been destroyed by the rain in Sabo, Yaba area of the state.

Other areas affected by the rain included Herbert Macaulay Way, Oyadiran Estate, Sabo, Murtala Muhammed Way and parts of Oyingbo.
The dead man was crushed to death by a mast in Obalende.
Another car, with two occupants, was also smashed by a mast.
The two of them escaped unhurt.
The dead man was reported to be a teacher at St. Gregory College, Obalende.
