Upcoming singer, Solomon Okoesen Daniel aka QuPayne AP is a new generation voice of Trap, Afropop music.
QuPayne AP who hails from Ewatto, Esan South East Local Government Area in Edo State is also a footballer and an entrepreneur.
He was locally raised at a village where there were no white men, or city influenced people who could speak good English fluently but still manages to stand out, sounding with a foreign accent just to prove his difference.
QuPayne first started rapping with the name, rap Mayne, as rap man but decided to go by happieman, an antonym to his depression for being sad.
In 2019, he settled with “QuPayne” as to be numbed by the pains and now he considers the pains, depression, and past experiences to be “Cool Pain.”
He tends to show the world that you can come from being no where to be heard and seen everywhere.
Learning is an everyday process, His childhood experience are behind his kind of Music genre.
He fell in love with Emo rap & trap music a sub genre of hip-hop music.
He describes his music as Afro-Trap, while stating that his music posses grimy melody.
QuPayne AP first met DJ Kelblizz on social media in 2020 but they lost contact, they later got back earlier 2022 and since then he has been encouraged to push further due to he musical motivation and artistic tips he got from DJ Kelblizz.
Doing music independently, while coming up he has made three amateur albums which he regularly uploads on SoundCloud and audiomack, expressing his innermost feelings about his instincts and making predictions about his future while also motivating his friends and fans.
Trying to get sponsors while doing music wasn’t easy, he made self produced songs with mobile recording apps, he focused more on his music.
Shortly after, he made friends with a producer.
However, their friendship was rocky as the producer told him he wasn’t good enough for Nigerian music industry but he always smiled and tell his producer to watch out for him.
He had the conviction that he was into music for the world and not just his country.
QuPayne AP loves listening to Drake, Tory Lanez, XXX Tentacions, Joyner Lucas, Gucci Mane, Migos, Rihanna, Trippie Redd, Nasty C, Wizkid, Rema and Davido.
He said they all influence his musical career.
