The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has given out two cars and a sum of N2 million to two journalists.
Ayodele gave out the gifts during the church’s annual thanksgiving service, which was held in his Church at Oke-Afa, Lagos on Sunday.
The journalists who received the car gifts were Lukmon Akintola and Folorunsho Hamzat.
His church members also got universities scholarships, paid school fees, tricycles, medically recommended glasses, eye drops, paid medical bills, sewing machines, mattresses, free trips to Denmark, LED televisions, house rents and food items.
While some police officers were rewarded with cash gifts for their commitment to security of lives and property in the area, other beneficiaries, including the Nigerian Television Authority, which got a brand new staff bus, were equally recognised.
Some of the dignitaries who graced the event included the President of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, Ambassador Per Stefsen; Country Director of Denmark, Ambassador Blessing Palmberg; Country Director of India, Ambassador Nabit Kapur; Country Director of South Africa, Ambassador Anthony Chinedu; World Peace spokesman, Ambassador Emmanuel Nweke; Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ejigbo, Jude Idimogu; representative of former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbeshola; and Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Religious Matters.
