President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday visited former military President, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, in his country home in Minna, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
Security men, however, barred newsmen from entering the premises to cover the visit.
A source, however, told NAN that the visit was a private one between the two, adding that “matters concerning the country were in discourse”.
The source added: “When such visit happens, you know definitely issues concerning the country will be discussed.
“This is no exception.
“But largely, it is a private visit by Mr. President to a worthy Nigerian like IBB.”
Security was tight in the state capital since late Friday when stern looking security men began arriving in Minna.
Two helicopters also hovered around the state capital.
Jonathan’s entourage was seen leaving Minna at 2pm on Saturday.
