Popular Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has broken her silence on her marriage to Saheed Olarewaju, widely known as Jago, sharing the challenges she faced leading up to their separation.
Speaking during an interview on Wasila Coded TV with hosts and fellow actress Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya revealed that a friend had allegedly misled her ex-husband by spreading damaging rumours.
According to Odusanya, her friend had claimed that she intended to leave the marriage to pursue prostitution and had also accused her of an affair with a prominent senator.
“A friend of mine told my partner that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution. That I went to sleep in a Senator’s house with our daughter, Fife. My mouth was left open when he told me,” she shared.
Odusanya explained that these rumours deeply impacted her relationship with Jago.
However, she provided evidence to disprove the allegations, sending her ex-partner a photo of her location and including a time stamped video.

“God gave me grace because I did a video recording of the time and date on my phone. I recorded it when we got to where we would sleep,” she said.
Reflecting on the difficult period, Ronke Odusanya admitted that she faced significant financial hardships following the split.
“I had nothing when we separated; all my jewellery was taken away, and I fainted. I was wondering where to start,” she recalled.
“I cried so much that day because I didn’t have up to N10,000 in my account, but I decided this was it. No money to get an accommodation.”
