Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended four suspected members of the Aye Confraternity for terrorising residents of Ijoko, Sango-Ota, and surrounding areas.
The command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday.
According to her, the suspects – Olanide Balogun, Olamilekan Oyedele, Adeolu Olayinka, and Abdulganiyu Azeez – were arrested around 3:00 pm on Wednesday.
Odutola further disclosed that the suspects’ modus operandi involved breaking car windows and attacking innocent road users during traffic jams.
She noted that the Divisional Police Officer of Sango-Ota, following a tip-off, led a team to raid the location, resulting in the suspects’ apprehension.
