The Police in Enugu said they had discovered three decomposing corpses and a human skull in a bush at Ugwuaji in Enugu South Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesperson of the state Police Command, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed this on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu.
Amaraizu said the command discovered the corpses and the human skull on January 25 at 4pm following a tip-off.
He said the command would do everything possible to fish out the identities of the corpses and the cause of the death.
The police spokesperson warned that the command would not tolerate unlawful acts that would disrupt the existing relative peace in the state.
He urged residents of the state to be security conscious and report to the police any suspicious movements or acts in their localities.
