Police Council confirms Alkali Baba as Inspector-General

The Police Council on Friday confirmed the appointment of Alkali Baba as the substantive Inspector-General Of Police (IGP).

Until his appointment as acting IGP in April, Alkali was the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Force Headquarters.

Alkali was born on March 1, 1963 in Geidam, Yobe State, and was enlisted in the Nigeria Police on March 15, 1988.
