The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the wife of a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
As earlier reported by The Eagle Online on Friday, the wife of the retired AIG was kidnapped on Wednesday night in her residence.
She was said to have been attacked in front of her gate at Arepo area of Ogun State as she made to enter the house by gun wielding men who were shooting sporadically.
When contacted by The Eagle Online, the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident.

Odutola, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said: “The Command is aware and the police have started an investigation into the kidnapping.”
