The Police Command in Niger State on Monday announced the arrest of two students of Dorben Polytechnic in Tafa Local Government Area of the state for allegedly killing one Terma Cletus.
A statement by DSP Babalola Adewole, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, in Minna said the arrest was based on information that the victim was found dead with injuries on his neck.
Police in Tafa rushed to the scene and recovered a cutlass allegedly used in cutting the deceased and one T-shirt suspected to belong to one of the suspects.
Adewole said a toy pistol was also recovered from their possession.
He said the command had also commenced investigating a case of rape involving an eight-year-old girl in Lapai Local Government Area.
Adewole said the case was reported by one Safiya Abubakar of 37, Dauda Maza Road, Lapai.
