Security operatives attached with Surulere police division, Lagos State have arrested two notorious members of “one-chance” gang while on operation along Funsho Williams Avenue.
A statement signed by the State’s Police Command’s Public Relation Officer , SP Benjamin Hudeyin, said the suspects were arrested following a distress call received from a victim shortly after he was dispossessed of his phone and other valuables.
“The operatives received an anonymous call from a victim who has been dispossessed of his phone , gave us the information we used in tracking down the suspects.
“The names of the suspects are Usman Hussain, aged 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, aged 25.
“Valuables Recovered from the suspects are 2 mobile phones, 2 SIM cards, one Sterling Bank ATM card, one UBA cheque booklet belonging to Ugochukwu (other names withheld) and one brand new tricycle with registration number LSD 360 QN used by the gang.
“Suspects will be arraigned once investigations are concluded”.
Meanwhile, the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has encouraged residents to always remain “vigilant and keen-eyed”, especially when boarding public vehicles.
