The Kaduna State Chapter of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) will hold peace concert on September 21 aimed at uniting the north.
The state chairman of the association, Dazang Gwom, told newsmen on Thursday in Kaduna that the concert would be held to coincide with the “International Peace Day”.
He said that all hands were on deck to ensure success of the concert, aimed at creating awareness and sensitise the people on the need for peace in the state and in the north in general.
Gwom said: “We all need to co-habit with one another; let us not use the youths to perpetrate violence; let us shun tribalism, ethnicity and religious bigotry.”
The chairman said that PMAN recently visited the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports to seek government collaboration to make the concert a success.
He said: “The commissioner assured us of government’s support for a successful concert,” he said.
Gwom said that corporate sponsorship is needed to actualise the concert, adding that artistes had been invited to feature at the concert.
