The Plateau Football Association has said that it would provide adequate security during matches at the new Zaria Road and Rwang Pam Stadia in Jos.
The FA made the assertion after an emergency meeting at its secretariat in Jos.
The association said the decision became imperative due to the manner Wikki Tourist FC of Bauchi fans conducted themselves during a 1-1 draw against Kano Pillars on Sunday at Zaria Road Stadium.
It will be recalled that Wikki currently play their home Nigeria Professional Football League matches at the stadium due to ongoing renovation of the stadium in Bauchi.
It said: “The executive members of the PFA frowned at the way and manner in which the fans conducted themselves during the match.
“Disciplinary measures will be taken against all hoodlums and every act of hooliganism.
“Football fans are therefore, warned that they are not allowed to sit at the VIP stand during matches.’’
The FA expressed appreciation to Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau for creating the enabling environment for football to thrive in the state.
