Politicians in Plateau state have been charged to forget their political differences and work for the development and progress of the state.
Member representing Wase Federal constituency in Plateau state, Hon. Idris Maje, gave the advice while speaking with newsmen shortly after the state governor, Bar. Simon Lalong inaugurated caretaker committees for the 17 Local Governments councils in the state.
Maje equally appealed to Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Simon Lalong to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Nigeria.
He urged the governor to put more efforts in maintaining peace, by creating jobs to the teeming unemployed youths in the state.
The lawmaker noted that that most of problems that often lead to breach of peace is lack of jobs for the youths, saying if the youths would be fully occupied they would not engage in any violence.
The member also called on President Buhari to give the governor all the needed support to transform the state to an industrial economy.
He applauded the appointment so far made under the leadership of governor Lalong which he said reflects the true federal character of Plateau people.
Maje admonished Christians and Muslims to reflect on their moral teaching towards moving the state forward by appealing to the youth to shun violence capable of destroying their future.
